Wingman is an app that makes the air travel experience more social: travelers can connect to one another from the moment they book their flight until after they touch down at their destination. Through Wingman, they can connect to anyone on their flight(s), in overlapping airports, headed to their destination (from anywhere else in the world), or at their destination. Air travel has become boring, solitary, yet filled with downtime. Wingman re-introduces the social layer to the experience, making it more fun, while creating an opportunity for travelers to take advantage of ephemeral connections that only exist in a flight context. By creating a social experience to mitigate the frustrations of flying, we can also capitalize on travelers' irritation and boredom and turn these sentiments into opportunities for valuable connections and potential revenue with airport/travel partnerships.
