Venture for America

VFA is a program for young, talented grads to spend two years in the trenches of a start-up with the goal that these graduates will become socialized and mobilized as entrepreneurs moving forward. We are a national nonprofit founded in 2011. HQ is in NYC, but our operations take us to a dozen emerging startup communities across the US, including Detroit, New Orleans, Providence, Cincinnati, and Las Vegas. We currently have over 100 Fellows in 8 cities and in 2014 will double the number of Fellows we recruit, select, train, and place at startups. Our Mission: To revitalize American cities and communities through entrepreneurship. To enable our best and brightest to create new opportunities for themselves and others. To restore the culture of achievement to include value-creation, risk and reward, and the common good.
