TapTape is a music crowdfunding site that works with labels, allowing fans to co-invest in an artist’s record deal and receive a share of revenues in return. By working with the world's most influential labels, we provide opportunities to connect with great artists before they blow up. Through investment in the artist, we create deep fan-artist connection, reinvestment, and bragging rights. TapTape beautifully helps fans, labels, and artists. Our mission is to connect the right artists with the right fans to give talented musicians financial freedom and artistic flexibility. Much has changed in how we consume and produce music, but not much has changed in how it's financed. This is what inspires us. TapTape was started at MIT by entrepreneurs and music hackers with a passion for solving music industry problems.
