SmartPiggy is ‘Kayak’ for private student loan origination, combining utility, community and seamless transaction processing into a cool, fun, easy-to-use platform for students and families. The MVP focus is two-fold: 1) community & content in rich UI/UX to drive onboarding; 2) single-common form & workflow application system to enable prospective applicants to “fill once, apply all” for any private and Federal loan. Over time, SmartPiggy will leverage its community, technology, and data into a platform with enhanced functionality: (i) end-to-end processing service; (ii) recommendation engine & product catalog; (iii) peer-based trending & analytics; (iv) borrower scoring based on non-traditional metrics (“Klout” for student loans).
