My partner and I co authored a comprehensive financial literacy curriculum which we originally printed and now want to move into the online space. We want to build a subscription based platform where educators have access to a library of financial literacy content that is also tied to common core standards, essentially teaching math and english concepts by connecting them to the real world. We have also seen research that 4 out of 5 teachers do not feel comfortable teaching this subject so we think it is critical to provide a teacher capability component (i.e. a lesson about taxes also includes a link to estimating social security payments) so teachers can feel confident delivering these lessons and pick up relevant tips to boost their own financial habits.
