Our Bookshelf will let readers finally share their ebooks with their friends legally. People have shared books for as long as they have read them, but since most ebook licenses prohibit sharing we may lose this ability as we transition to ebooks. The Our Bookshelf social network will create a way for people to share ebooks while still respecting copyright. The site will also provide a great way for authors and publishers to market their work.
