Onename is a decentralized identity system built on the blockchain. Create a profile and enter your Bitcoin address (or get a new one). 3. Post on Twitter and Facebook to publicly prove that your Onename profile is owned by you. With Onename, Bitcoin payments become much easier - you just need someone’s name or username. Instead of remembering to send payments to “1919Urh...a8qtSk” you just send it to "naval." Onename is built on a decentralized identity protocol and enables users to own their own usernames and data without relying on any trusted third party. With unique decentralized usernames it's possible to login to apps/websites amongst other possible applications.
