igobono is a social marketplace where members buy, sell and donate goods and services using a social currency (called “bonos”) instead of money. Our unique platform provides instant spending power by enabling our members to immediately begin trading upon sign-up. Additionally, they are rewarded for performing good deeds, such as donating goods or volunteering their time. We have built social communication into our user interface, which helps facilitate a robust trading experience for everyone. Using a reputation system to evaluate trading partners, members earn points for activities such as selling or donating, posting offers, and inviting others to join. When enough points are accumulated, they can advance levels and unlock valuable benefits, such as additional social currency.
