About
With 90% of US companies depending on staffing agencies for their human resource needs, Corporate America have spent almost $120 billion on such agencies in 2014. Under the pressing need to slash spending, firms try to resort to the crowd-sourced recruiting solution with employee referral programs at its core. However, despite its adoption rate of 67% among firms in the US, 70-80% of new hires still come from the traditional recruiting channels. The immediate reasons for the gap include the limitation of employees’ networks and the lengthy time required of pre-referral assessment. Crowd aims at filling this gap through easing candidate screening through the most advanced data-mining technology. In essence, its model features a combination of data analysis and human evaluation for every referral decision, the results are cost-effectiveness and quality.
