It *sucks* to slave over a task only to later learn somebody unexpected could've helped you. Alchemy is the simplest tool for a community to help itself. *** How Alchemy works: *** Once a week, each user receives an email asking what they need help with that week (e.g. an intro, a piece of info, etc). Users submit directly from within the email, eliminating friction. There's no need to leave their inbox for a website. The next day, Alchemy sends a follow up email that lists what everyone needs, auto-magically the author's Linkedin picture & profile. To help, simply respond in-line directly within the email and you're privately connected. There is no reply-all. It's deceptively simple.
