Patented method for the objective, quantitative measurement of pain, the PainQx system. PainQx solves 3 problems: 1) Subjective, pain self-assessment thru the current happy/sad face pain evaluation method (the Visual Analog Pain Scale: VAS). 2) Under treatment of patient pain 3) Over treatment of patient pain, specifically as it applies to opioid/ analgesic drugs. PainQx technology delivers objective, accurate, pain measurement in real time. It is cloud based software, delivered to the clinical environment on a pay-per-use or subscription basis for both Human Health and/ or Veterinary applications. Customers include patient populations that cannot accurately articulate or express pain (e.g. unconscious, pediatric, elderly) or are unlikely to accurately describe the level of pain (e.g. Misusers/abusers of prescription pain relief medication). PainQx is quick, portable, inexpensive and wireless.
