Accern is on a mission of becoming the central intelligence provider for actionable and authentic stories mainly used for trading and research purposes. Traders and researchers encounter major problems when using the web to gather information. Three of the current problems being faced are (i) the increased in data noise which is making it difficult to find stories that truly matter (ii) continuous spread of false stories which are becoming harder to detect and (iii) missed opportunities on critical time-sensitive stories which aren't indexed by major search engines in a timely manner due to low traffic. Accern solution is to provide a SaaS platform and an API where traders and researchers can monitor over 20 million news and blog sources on the web in real-time and (i) save time by getting stories that matters (ii) decrease risk by acting on authentic stories and (iii) increase ROI by capturing opportunities as they arise.
